Election officials in Stark County, Ohio, are facing pushback for their decision to purchase new voting machines from Dominion. The pushback is coming from constituents who believe the baseless conspiracy theory—pushed fervently by former president Trump and his associates—that Dominion voting machines changed votes from Trump to Biden during the 2020 election. Lawmakers (primarily Republican) in 43 states are considering over 250 bills which would raise barriers to voting in response to the false and disproven claim that there was significant voter fraud during the 2020 election.
