Minnesota will have automatic voter registration going forward under a new bill signed by Governor Tim Walz. The Democratic Governor claims this change, and other changes including pre registration for 16- and 17-year-olds and a permanent absentee ballot option, will help the state of Minnesota continue to be a leader in voter participation. According to the Secretary of State’s office automatic registration is estimated to add 450,000 new or updated voter registrations per year. Visit Duluth News Tribune to learn moreImage Credit:Lorie Shaull (CC BY-SA 4.0)
