Multiple threats to election systems prompt US cybersecurity agency to boost cooperation with states

Officials with the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) are introducing a new program this week to the National Association of State Election Directors and National Association of Secretaries of State aimed at boosting election security. The program aims to shore up support for local elections offices and provide reassurance to voters that this year’s presidential election will be safe and accurate. The list of challenges facing local elections offices seems to keep growing and CISA hopes this program will provide a remedy to some of their valid concerns.
