While Democrats are expected to win a majority of the Latino vote this year, many Latino men are supporting President Trump, which could make the difference in swing states like Arizona and Florida. The Trump administration’s record and messaging on pre-COVID unemployment for Latinos, law and order, religion, and abortion appeals to many Latino men. Latino support for the Republican Party is not new, it is the result of decades of Republican efforts to court Latino voters dating back to the 1950s and 1960s.
