Republican leaders have advised Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake to avoid airing complaints about prior elections and instead focus on a more forward-looking message, but Lake has not taken the advice. In an interview with CNN last week, Lake continued to insist there were “major problems” with her failed gubernatorial campaign and falsely claimed the 2020 election was “rigged.” Lake’s efforts, much to the chagrin of some GOP strategists, often reflect Donald Trump’s messaging as he once again campaigns for President.
