In an interview with Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press,” GOP Rep Elise Stefanik refused to commit to certifying the 2024 election results. During the interview Stefanik also criticized efforts to remove Donald Trump from the ballot in Colorado, Maine, and other states. Additionally, the New York Republican defended Trump’s recent remarks calling rioters who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 and remain in prison “hostages,” echoing similar rhetoric throughout the program.
