GOP-led Wisconsin Senate votes to remove chief elections official

In a 22-11 vote entirely along party lines, Republicans in Wisconsin voted to remove Meagan Wolfe, a non-partisan administrator of the state’s elections commission. The vote led to a lawsuit from Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul who claims the Senate lacks the authority to remove Wolfe. Wolfe says she will continue to serve as the administrator of the elections commission unless the court determines otherwise.
